I’m mainly an historian of early modern England - although I occasionally range outside that chronological and geographical boundary. I’ve written on a variety of early modern topics including antiscripturism, anti-Trinitarianism, anticlericalism, ball games, book burning, community of goods, environmentalism, esotericism, extra-canonical texts, heresy, crypto-Jews, Judaizing, millenarianism, mysticism, prophecy and religious radicalism.
Here I’ll aim to delve into most of these topics. But without the references, so as to hopefully make them more accessible.
