It was on the mornings of 3, 4 and 5 February 1652 that the ‘Lord Jesus, the only wise God’ spoke to a man named John Reeve (1608–1658), revealing to him that he had been chosen as the Lord’s ‘last messenger’.
Yes shows promise that is what you said about my durer piece which I submitted which was so well researched I could not have dug up more regarding that chap am studying the mauri I go to that swedenborgs house is it possible to do a PhD without a degree because you can stay what you want to have read I found a little dry I liked it but try and spice up part 2
Very interesting! And I see the dates and St. Botolph's and wonder if they knew the Atwood's: same church and Randall Atwood went to the same school. The much married Anne Atwood went to Northampton County, Virginia, where there was a small Quaker community, stabilised over time in part by former Londoners/children of Londoners. As for Anne, she proved to be feisty, to say the least, on one notable occasion taking after her overseer with a club.
Thank you! Glad you liked it. Interesting question about St Botolph's and Anne Atwood. It's not a name that I recall in relation to that parish - although there are quite a few records extant including churchwardens' accounts (1567-1632).
Checking my notes, I see that Muggleton's father, John, was admitted to an almshouse in 1616 - but was expelled for drunkenness. Not quite the same as wielding a club, admittedly!
Really looking forward to part two!
Thanks Leah, glad you liked it! Part two on its way shortly; third and final part being wrapped up now.
